Ras al Jinz Star gazing

Stargazing, is enjoyment of the stars. Actually, it’s not just about stars, other objects visible in the night sky include galaxies (groups of billions of stars); planets (which orbit stars); and other rocky things flying around in space, like asteroids and comets.

Ras Al Jinz Turtle Reserve provides unparalleled opportunities for star gazing, boasting pristine nighttime vistas of the moon, stars, planets, and deep-sky phenomena.

Our Stargazing sessions are normally about 40 minutes of travelling millions of light years in our universe, We will start with a brief explanation and we will show a movie about our universe and objects that we will see through telescope, it’s important for us to our guests know what they are looking through the telescope so we also give explanations about each object to make them familiar with night sky, solar system and deep sky objects like nebulae, star clusters and galaxies which they will see through the telescope. We will discuss about them and answer all your questions about astronomy and space. Also, as a very exciting activity you can try to capture photo of these objects (especially planets) using your mobile phone.

During session, you will learn how to navigate your way using the stars and constellations. Our guides are professional astronomy and space science communicators which you can discuss with about any idea you have about space, universe, time travel and more. The main thing we do on our stargazing sessions is bring the universe to you through our descriptions and through our telescopes.
